Es Moli den Bau’ is an institution for people who love historic architecture and Mallorcan craftsmanship, and has become famous for its internationally acclaimed gourmet restaurant, run by Michelin-starred chef Tomeu Caldentey.

The mill ‘Es Moli den Bou’ is well situated in the village of Sant Llorenc de Cardassar in the east of Mallorca. 4 golf courses nearby. 15 minutes from Manacor.

The location of the mill ‘Es Moli den Bou’ in St. Llorenc des Cardassar is fantastic and with a wonderful unobstructed view of the neighbouring fields and mountains. The roof terrace of the mill was converted into a solarium/terrace in 2016 The mill can be used not only as a restaurant but also as a spacious residential property.

Restored in 1993, the 14th century mill was built on Roman ruins. It is one of the largest grain mills on the island. The tastefully restored mill has been lovingly reconstructed in detail using Mallorcan materials and according to Mallorcan craftsmanship traditions. The materials used include natural Mares sandstone, marble and hand-fired terracotta floors. Underfloor heating has also been installed in the main vaults of the mill. ‘Es Moli den Bau’ is a jewel for people who love historical architecture and Mallorcan craftsmanship. The mill has become famous for its internationally acclaimed gourmet restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Tomeu Caldentey. He is the only Mallorcan to have been awarded a Michelin star (since 2004).

The mill is divided into two floors, consisting of four main rooms, which are round vaults. There are also two smaller central vaults, a tower and a further outbuilding, which is used for storage, technical and service areas. An ideal place, especially for art lovers.

The round vaults on the ground floor also make the hearts of wine gourmets beat faster and the tastefully restored mill has been lovingly reconstructed in detail using Mallorcan materials and according to Mallorcan craftsmanship traditions. The materials used include natural Mares sandstone, marble and hand-fired terracotta floors.

Underfloor heating was also installed in the main vaults of the mill and the roof terrace of the mill was converted into a solarium/terrace in 2016.
